State of the Art Tech & Furnishings

Hosting an event requires more than just a memorable setting. The National Union Building is fully equipped with state of the art technology throughout the venue: Bose towers for surround sound, mounted A/V projectors and screens, microphones, and WiFi are available for use in all of our spaces.

Whether you’re planning a seated event or standing reception, we have your furniture needs covered as well. Rectangular 6' tables, 60" round tables, cocktail tables, folding chairs, and stools are all at your disposal. Our staff will even set up everything you need in the configuration of your choosing.

Distinctive Atmosphere in a Historic Venue

Located in Chinatown/Penn Quarter, The National Union Building is an elegant, historic building encompassing 6 floors of dedicated event space.

Designed by local architect Glenn Brown and built in 1890, our venue boasts a striking Romanesque, stone clad façade and maintains captivating period details that give it character unlike anything else in D.C.

Soaring ceilings, curved glass, and exposed brick greet guests as they ascend our original wrought-iron staircase or the city’s last remaining central-core elevator cage.
